Mater has a total of ca. 265 beds, more than 1,700 employees amongst which 300+ consultants. Mater has a strong reputation for medical innovation and the provision of high acuity care and is a national leader particularly in the heart and cancer specialties. The business is supported by inflation protection and growing and predictable demand with volumes being driven by strong demographic dynamics and medical advances.

We invested in the business in 2018 with the ambition to expand its infrastructure beyond its organic perimeter, grow access clinics with the development of new day-hospitals and advanced community diagnostic centers and accelerate the digital transformation of the hospital.
