A+ (Autobahnplus A8) operates the A8 motorway between Munich and Augsburg under a 30-year concession agreement. The concession revenues are based on a shadow-toll regime under which A+ receives toll paid by heavy-goods vehicles. A+ leverages on an efficient free-flow electronic toll collection system regulated by the Federal Government of Germany.

The A8 is prime transportation along Trans-Europe East-West freight corridor with superior traffic performance in comparison to national and regional averages. A+ has benefited from the development of traffic and large logistics hubs alongside the motorway. During our holding period,  A+ delivered solid traffic growth while always maintaining strong operational performance ensuring maximum availability of the infrastructure as well as safety track record.

We exited the investment in 2020 after the ramp-up of A+ into a core economic infrastructure.
