We invested in Aalto Power in 2009 when the company was part of the NGE Group and had 4 windfarms in operation (42 MW) and 2 in construction. Aalto Power was our first investment in renewable energies and our first buy-and-build play.

During our holding period, we successfully completed the carve-out from NGE, doubled the installed capacity, optimized the financing and delivered on numerous operational and industrial improvements (costs optimization, maintenance and opex management, etc.). At the time of exit in 2016, Aalto Power was a fully operational wind power generation platform with a total installed capacity of approximately 90 MW and a significant pipeline of further development opportunities.
