Fibre Networks Ireland is a dedicated fibre company focused on the deployment of fibre-to-the-home (“FTTH”) in Ireland.
InfraVia has invested in the business alongside eir, Ireland’s leading fixed broadband provider. Fibre Networks Ireland (« FNI ») was set up to acquire eir’s existing FTTH and copper infrastructure and accelerate the deployment of eir’s open access FTTH network.
The network has an open access model, providing high quality service available to all retail broadband operators in Ireland via Open eir Networks. FNI targets to reach 2.0 million homes passed by 2027.
We invested in FNI in 2022 with a view to leveraging our existing track record in Ireland and our deep communications infrastructure experience across Europe.
Fibre networks support economic development through bringing high speed connectivity across the country and bridging digital divide.
